Change the World
GIRL SCOUT TROOP 680
About Troop 680
Girl Scout Troop 680, an entirely volunteer-led troop, has been in continuous operation since 1999. We have been historically a “dads and daughters” troop. That said, about a quarter of our scout-parent diads are mom-daughter. We also welcome any other caregiver who wants a chance to connect with their girls and instill Girl Scout values.
Our guiding principles...
Foster leadership skills so our scouts see themselves as agents of positive change in the world
Build confidence through camping experiences, community service, crafts discovery and exploring new role models
Have a ton of fun
Our Troop averages around 45 girls composed of 6 patrols numbering 6-8 girls each. Our members represent schools from around the NE and NW neighborhoods of Seattle.
Think Girl Scouting is the first step on an amazing journey? You are absolutely right! Check out these former Girl Scouts who are now leaders in space at NASA.
Only 21% of U.S. senators are women, yet 76% of them are Girl Scouts.
Only 24% of STEM jobs are held by women, yet virtually every female astronaut who has flown in space was a Girl Scout.
Only 6% of Fortune 500 CEOs in our country are women, yet 80% of all women business owners are Girl Scouts.
Girl Scouts go on to write policy, run companies, engineer robots, and inspire social change. We help girls of all backgrounds grow into confident, conscientious, socially-aware women who will transform the future for all of us. Leadership is built. Built by Girl Scouts.
